About

Retired and living happily with my wife in Northern Arizona, I never imagined I would be writing and illustrating books and gospel tracts. The door to this adventure opened up when my daughter called me with her birthday request. She said, "Hey, Dad, instead of a gift, will you share stories of your time in Vietnam with me?" So, instead of sitting with Naomi and telling her stories, I authored and published a book: MY VIETNAM - A GIFT TO MY DAUGHTER. The book drew a vivid picture of life as a grunt in the steamy jungles of Vietnam. Additionally, I chronicled our father-daughter trip back to Vietnam to visit the places where her Dad had so many dramatic experiences.

Afterward, I felt urged to continue writing; however, going forward, I would also illustrate my work. After several more years, I published, CHRISTIAN'S WALK - THE JOURNEY and THREE CHRISTIAN BROTHERS. Eager to share my faith in Christ, I used my God-given gifts to create twelve illustrated tracts to help others share the "Good News."
Disturbed by America's moral decay and hostility towards Christianity, I believe we are witnessing the fulfillment of the prophet Isaiah who spoke this 2700 years ago: "Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil, who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness, who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter." Isaiah 5:20
With 17 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, my concern for their well being became my purpose, and my purpose became my mission; thus, JACK'S BOOK'S and EVANGELICAL PUBLICATIONS. My intent is to leave behind a heritage of godly influence for them, future descendants, and anyone who comes to Christ by means of these books and tracts.

Prior to retirement I owned two businesses. One as a masonry contractor in San Diego for 20 plus years, and then as a tool distributor for the next 20 plus years.
I grew up in Yucaipa, California where I enjoyed a healthy upbringing playing outside, building tree forts, race carts and attending our community church. My teen years were typical for that era, going to dances, cruising E street in San Bernardino, surfing and driving muscle cars.
I've had a long life full of tribulations and blessings; and now, I can think of no other way to live the last chapter of my life than to do what I am doing; building His kingdom, and giving honor, gratitude, and glory to our savior, Christ Jesus.
